haiku for the day: roofs

No house lasts forever. They must be maintained, renovated, repaired. We go about our renovations and we forget that greatest of all mantras, first do no harm. Soon our renovations turns into renovating our renovations. No matter how hard we try, it’s always a struggle. Very often the house wins. And wins big time. If you don’t believe me, buy a house. Either that or see “Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House” or “The Money Pit”.
