micropoem for the day: in a rush

Sometimes accidents happen. And sometimes those accidents lead to pure pleasure. The alarm did not wake me. I jump out of bed with only a shorter than usual time. Rush, rush, rush. Feed the cat, gobble down breakfast, shower, fix the lunch and more rush, rush, rush. Trying to make up time, I should know that never will happen. I’m going to be late and there’s nothing I can do about it. But I am frantic anyway. Then, of a sudden, it happens. I spill the cat’s water dish.

spilled water glistening
a mirror full of sunlight
takes the breath away
